Why Heart of the Sun
My name for this work came from my own birth chart. I carry a cazimi — Mercury sitting exactly in conjunction with my Sun in Sagittarius. Cazimi is an old Arabic word for "in the heart of the Sun," and to me it describes exactly what birth is: something growing quietly in the dark, crossing a threshold, and emerging into the light.
I don't believe I'm the one who knows how your birth should unfold. I'm here to listen, hold space, and help illuminate the wisdom already inside you, your baby, and the process itself.
How I work with you
Support that begins well before labor and stays with you well after — a steady thread from our first conversation to your postpartum weeks.
Complimentary consult
We start with a free 30-minute conversation to see if we're a good fit for each other's journey.
Prenatal sessions
Up to three 75-minute sessions to prepare your body, your birth plan, and your intuition.
On call, day or night
24/7 on-call support from week 37 to 42, plus unlimited phone and email correspondence and a trusted backup doula.
Labor & birth
Continuous, hands-on support through labor and delivery — at home, in a birth center, or in the hospital.
Postpartum care
Two hours of immediate postpartum support, plus up to three 120-minute sessions to help you settle in.
